“Your faith makes you offer your lives as a sacrifice in serving God.” Philippians 2:17
When we face struggles, we often wonder, Why? Years from now, though, we may realize that it was those struggles that taught us something we could not have otherwise learned—that there was a purpose in our pain. God’s purpose is greater than your pain, and he has a greater purpose than your problems.

  1. Well said, Jim!
Our Heavenly Father is always good. His mercies are new everyday. When we set our mind and heart on things of heaven and God's purpose and plan, His Spirit awakens us to make this day - this minute - each encounter .... count for something more. Something eternal.

I don't know why the children of God suffer so. Someday, we'll have all the answers. One thing I do know is that we need a Savior - a rescuer. Even when we didn't ask for one, God knew we would and He sent His Son, Jesus. He is there when we suffer and are in sorrow. He's walked the walk. He can be trusted. Thankfully, when "we are weak, He is strong."

The coolest part, Jim? The God of the universe knows you personally! He knows everything about you and is especially fond of ... you. What a marvelous gift we've been given; a forever friend and Savior. Seriously, if God had a refrigerator, pictures of you would be plastered all over it! In this life, His desire is for us to THRIVE not just SURVIVE. And when we do, we give Him honor and glory. In the next life [heaven is not one day less than a TRILLION years!], you will be well received for the one who loves and gave it all up on the Cross for you. Until then, you can trust Him with all your fears, doubts, anxieties and questions. Keep short accounts with God and hand them over to Him. This will foil the plans of the evil one that seeks to fill you with overwhelm, fears and desires to devour you.

Lastly, I believe that a "change in God is always a promotion." While often painful, this has been true in my life. Jim, God has made so many changes in your life and now, going forward, you have an important Kingdom assignment. I'll pray for your journey, strength and that you'll THRIVE! I will also pray for your radical healing and wholeness. He can do it!

Okay - enough preaching:) Thanks for the blog and the opportunity to connect! xo

I love you friend and will call you soon!

    Enthusiastically yours,

    Beth
